Fig and Olive’s concept is unique in its way of celebrating that essential culinary ingredient widely used in Mediterranean cuisine: the mighty and sophisticated olive oil. Laurent Halasz, the founder of Fig and Olive, was greatly inspired by the cuisine and ingredients of his hometown Mougins in the South of France. Fig and Olive’s cuisine celebrates the flavors of the Riviera, and combines culinary influences from neighboring countries Spain and Italy. Figs and Olives, as ingredients, highlight most of the dishes. Signature dishes worth mentioning are the Grilled Branzino and Grilled Lamb Chops, both includes fig essences (such as fig balsamic vinegar) and of course, a generous usage of the best extra virgin olive oil. Their olive oils hail from locations such as Chateau Leoube in France, Melgarejo in Andalucia, and other European locations known for producing the best olive oils in the world. As for desserts, they offer dessert crostinis that feature exquisite ingredients like maraschino cherries, pistachios, and Italian favorite mascarpone cheese. They are fresh and flavorful, and reflective of their European influences in terms of the unique combination of regional flavors.
