Google Adsense – A Necessity For Startups

Google Adsense is a useful tool for webmasters and especially startup owners to generate much needed revenue for their businesses. Best of all, it’s completely free.

Here’s how it works. Once you sign up with Google Adsense, you place its code on your webpage, which enables advertisements relevant to the content of your website to be displayed on the page. Every time a web user clicks the ad, you receive a small amount of money, known as the cost per click, or CPC. This amount is usually determined by the advertiser itself; some advertisers will pay more than others depending upon what they are promoting. Although the average cost per click amounts to about thirty cents a pop, in time, this money does add up. Once you accumulate more than $100 in your Adsense account, Google mails you a check at the end of the month.

If your website centers on a particularly popular topic and/or contains entertaining articles, videos and pictures, chances are, more people will visit your website and more people will click the ads. Because those clicks add up over time, the revenue will inevitably roll in. In fact, some Adsense easily earn over $100,000 or year or more. Play your cards right, and your startup will be provided with a solid and solvent financial baseline.
