Rush Street: Hip meet-up spot inspired by the famous Chicago strip

One of the most unique bars and restaurants in the Greater Los Angeles area, Rush Street, evocative of the famous Chicago Strip and located at 9546 Washington Boulevard in Culver City, California, is the brainchild of partners Brain McKeaney, a Chicago native who grew up in the bar and restaurant business; veteran film and television producer Ken Kaufman and Emmy-winning writer and producer Tom Patchett, who also co-founded Santa Monica’s Bergamot Station Art Complex.

In addition to the longest functional bar in Culver City, one of Rush Street’s most famous features is its sidewalk patio connected to the front half of the restaurant by a system of folding doors, making for a spacious, roomy environment inside and out.

Open from lunch to late night, Rush Street features a wide variety of exquisite wines, rare and exotic microbrews and a line of signature martinis, among them the Strawberry Fields, the Burning Man, the Pear Flower and the sweet and spicy El Diablo. If you are hungry or perhaps need a hearty breakfast to take the edge off that hangover, the menu, created by Executive Chef Dave Northrup features a wide selection of burgers, sandwiches, mini-pizzas, salads, side dishes and desserts, all of which go nicely with the unique offerings from the longest bar in Culver City.

Popular among locals and travelers alike, Rush Street’s hip but relaxed vibe makes it the perfect place for entrepreneurs meeting with investors and clients for lunch or dinner.
