The Bodega Wine Bar

The Bodega Wine Bar, located in Santa Monica, at 814 Broadway (@ Lincoln), has been touted up and down Yelp.Com as the place to go for its 5-7 p.m. happy hour or just for an after work drink on a nice summer day, owing to its attentive and efficient service and casual, cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Playing cards and table games such as chess, checkers, Yahtzee, Boggle and Connect Four are also provided for the enjoyment of guests upon request any day of the week, with Sunday being reserved for Game night. Indeed, the uppermost point of The Bodega Wine Bar’s philosophy is to “Have fun. that’s the whole point of all this, isn’t it? we tried to create a casual, comfortable place for you to kick back and relax. the rest is up to you.”

The drinks at the Bodega Wine Bar are reasonably affordable, with three different price levels for the wines. Happy hour is held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and all night every Monday to make double sure that whoever walks in is cured of their case of the Mondays. Tuesday features carafes being discounted by $7.00, and on Wednesdays, also known as Andrew Jackson night, all bottles of red and white wine are priced at $20 each. For Check-in Thursdays, call ahead to see what the special of the day is. By no means will you be disappointed. In addition to game night, on Sundays guests can enjoy dollar sake shots and happy hour drink prices after 10:00 p.m.

In addition to a vast array of wines and other beverages, the Bodega Wine Bar features a comprehensive menu of gourmet food. Among the appetizers are homemade hummus with warm pita and apple slices; the pepperoni and white cheddar plate and the Bodega’s very own award winning grilled cheese sandwich. For dinner, treat yourself to a wide selection of pizzas and salads, and for dessert, indulge in the rich white chocolate bread pudding or the brownie sundae.
