Ever since brothers Michael and Marcus Kwan opened WOKCANO for business in Los Angeles in 2001, this restaurant and its innovative take on Asian cuisine has grown exponentially in popularity, with locations in Downtown Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Long Beach, Burbank, Valencia and Santa Monica.
WOKCANO’s stock in trade is a a broad and savory range of Asian cuisine with everything from traditional dishes such as edamame, chicken dumplings, sashimi and maki to adventurous sushi rolls such as the red dragon roll, consisting of spicy tuna maki topped with fresh tuna and tempura crumbs and a roll made with seared Hudson Valley foie gras and scallions wrapped in soy paper.
Other delicious dishes to be found at WOKCANO are the tasteful selections of soups, including such perennial favorites as won ton, hot and sour and miso; and the mixed sashimi salad, which features an assortment of choice cuts of fish tossed with mixed greens and served with Japanese soy dressing.
Those who dine at WOKCANO will enjoy a relaxing but chic atmosphere, perfect for solo dining at the sushi bar, lunch meetings or large parties. Feel free to enjoy a drink at happy hour in the lounge, which includes a comprehensive but reasonably priced sake and wine list and a wide variety of Asian-inspired cocktails.
