Just like all offline social events, Schmoozd too took a pause during the 2020 global pandemic. It was the right decision for us; keeping folks healthy was our primary goal. We prioritized the well-being of our community, which meant that rushing back into in-person gatherings was never an option for us in 2021, 2022 or even 2023. We chose to remain patient and thoughtful about how we approached the return of our beloved events.

To our surprise, as we contemplated our relaunch in 2024, we found that our subscriber base remains strong. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, our communications have achieved above 50% open rates, indicating a strong desire among our community members for reconnection. This positive response has underscored our belief in the significance of fostering community bonds, as it showcases the enduring interest and support for what Schmoozd represents. People are ready to rekindle those relationships and share experiences they have dearly missed during the isolation of the past several years.

With the world slowly opening up, we are more determined than ever to create memorable in-person experiences that not only bring people together but also celebrate resilience and the shared joy of reconnecting. We have thoughtfully planned our upcoming events to ensure they reflect the needs and desires of our community.
